Minh Beo and his personal lawyer rejected all the accusations.



The first impeachment session which takes place at 10 A.M April 10th local time had closed with the result that Mr. Hong Quang Minh rejected every accusation from the district attorney and the judge keep the bail remain at 1 million US dollars.


According to the US criminal procedure code, the first impeachment session is just a beginning procedure following by other procedures that going to come up next. As mentioned in the Code, in this session, Mr. Hong Quang Minh, the accused, has the right to reject every accusations from the department of prosecution in order to be released. Besides, the lawyer of “Minh Beo” could have time to gain more effective evidences and deny the accusations from the Court as well as the district attorney.

At this session, the Court would consider the possibility that the famous Vietnamese comedian could be released or whether or not should any amount of the bail be reduced.

Some of Vietnamese media, the relatives of Minh Beo and also many Vietnamese people who lives in the U.S have come to the Court to witness the first impeachment session. Due to the fact that there are up to 95 prisoners who also has their first impeachment that day, it has become such a long day for those who only wait to see the famous Vietnamese comedian.

As can be seen from the image that was cut from a video, Mr. Hong Quang Minh is thinner than he used to be after such a time of being in prison. In this session, Mr. Hong Quang Minh as well as his personal lawyer did not mention anything about the fact that whether he had been abused by other prisoners or not according to many rumors has been arsing recently.

In a recently explanation, an attorney has revealed that what makes the bail that need to release Mr. Hong Quang Minh such a high amount. Since “Minh Beo” is not a US citizen and he only just traveled to the US on a business trip. Therefore, in case the bail is the same to those who are American citizens, which means at around 100 000 US dollars, Mr. Hong Quang Minh is likely to pay the bail and come back to Vietnam immediately. As a result, this will be very hard for the US authority to recapture him if he is guilty. The high amount of bail should be considered as a guaranteed measure in order to make it harder for any accused that could have the possibilities to escape after being released.

The impeachment session of Minh Beo lasted only for approximately 10 minutes. The result, as mentioned above, Mr. Hong Quang Minh and his personal lawyer rejected every accusations from the District Attorney. The judges keep the bail level remain at 1 000 000 US dollars. The next Court will take place on 10th December 2016. From now until next Court, the Vietnamese comedian- Mr. Hong Quang Minh will still stay in jail for another 8 months.
