STEEL PRODUCTS – ENTITIES SHALL ANNOUNCE STANDARDS IN VIETNAM

For steel products, manufacturing or import organizations or individuals shall be held responsible for announcing standards in Vietnam.

This regulations are pursuant to the Joint Circular No. 58/2015/TTLT-BCT-BKHCN. Details are:
  • Standards must be announced and applied in accordance with Article 3 of this Joint Circular;
  • Labeling of goods must be clearly specified;
  • Imported steel products must be subject to assessment of conformance to standards which are announced and applied by designated conformity-assessing organizations;
  • Dossiers of announcement of applied standards for imported steel products must be specified.
This Joint Circular No. 58/2015/TTLT-BCT-BKHCN was promulgated on December 31, 2015 to replace Joint circular No. 44/2013/TTLT-BCT-BKHC dated December 31, 2013, providing for management of the domestically-produced and imported steel quality.
From March 21, 2016, Joint Circular No. 58/2015/TTLT-BCT-BKHCN has entered into force.
