6 sectors ODA and concessional loans is given priority

The Government has promulgated Decree No. 16/2016/NĐ-CP on management and use of ODA and concessional loans of foreign sponsors.



 

According to the Decree, 6 sectors in which provision of ODA and concessional loans is given priority include:
  • - Execution of socio-economic infrastructure building programs/projects.
  • - Study into development of policies on socio-economic development and enhancement of the institution of state management.
  • - Development of human resources, scientific research and technological development.
  • - Environmental protection, response to climate change, and green growth.
  • - State participation in PPP projects.
  • - Other sectors decided by the Prime Minister.
Decree No.16/2016/NĐ-CP comes into force from May 02 and replaces Decree No. 38/2013/NĐ-CP.
Decree No. 38/2013/NĐ-CP shall apply to programs and projects whose listsof sponsors are approved by competent authorities before the effective date of Decree No. 16/2016/NĐ-CP.
