3 VIETNAMESE WERE HONORED AS POWER BUSINESSWOMEN IN ASIA
Yesterday, Forbes announced
list of 50 power business women in Asia with t hree representatives from Vietnam .
Three Vietnamese representatives
include Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung (President and CEO of PNJ JSC), Ms. Thai Huong
(President of TH Milk Group) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (President and
Co-founder of Sovico Holdings).
1. Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung - Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC
Ms. Ngoc Dung founded and
built brand “PNJ” from a small shop of Jewelry in 1998, then, PNJ was listed on
the Stock Exchange in 2004; until now, Ms. Dung has held 17% of shares. PNJ has
considered as the leader of Vietnam Jewelry market with over 3,000 staff and
200 shops. Beside that, in 2015, the revenue of PNJ reached 350 million dollars
and the profit was 23 million dollars.
2. Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong
Thao - Sovico Holdings
Ms. Phuong Thao studied in
Russia , Soviet
Union , in 1990s. Now, she assumes the role as
the president and Co-founder of Sovico Holdings with registered capital up to 1
trillion VND (approximately 53 million dollars). Furthermore, this company also
has held shares of HD Bank and Vietjet Air.
3. Ms. Thai Huong – TH Group
Ms. Thai Huong also appeared
Forbes list of last year, although she participated in milk market from 2009
with the commitment of changing this sector.
In last year, she invested
2.7 billion dollars to Russian Agriculture, especially a 500 million dollars
farm with 350,000 cows providing 1.8 million litters of milk each year.
In 2015, the revenue of TH
Group achieved 215 million dollars with the profit up to 45 million dollars.
In past, she also founded BAC A BANK
with total assets nearly three billion dollars.
To select this list
of 2016, Forbes based on many criteria such as the revenue of companies, the role
of candidates in companies and the level of job involvement.
