Dismissing Prime Minister of Vietnam
Today, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung will leave the position of Prime Minister
of Socialist Republic of Vietnam if National Assembly approves this offer.
The new president of Vietnam ,
Mr. Tran Dai Quan opens the 11th session of the National Assembly by the report
dismissing Prime Minister – Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung – the leader of Vietnamese
Government in about ten years.
He said that when assuming the role of Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen
Tan Dung has made his best effort at work and task for nearly ten years. After
the requirements of the senior personnel of Communist Party and Vietnamese State , Vietnamese President offers
National Assembly to dismiss the position of Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung.
The official result is going to be announced in this afternoon
when National Assembly finishes the discussion and passes by the secret ballot.
Beside that, the President also
offers the list of personnel to National Assembly to elect new Prime Minister in
tomorrow. The Deputy Prime Minister of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc was introduced to
this important position by Communist Party and the Government Office.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung (67 years old)
was born in Ca Mau Province. When working in the Vietnam People's Army, he
served as the Chief of Staff at the Military Command in Kien Giang province.
In 1981, he demobilized and assumed leadership positions in
Kien Giang.
In 1995, he was Vice Minister of Public Security.
In 1997, Mr. Dung became the youngest Deputy Prime Minister
of Vietnam when was 48 years
old. He also was concurrently the Governor of the State Bank from 1998 to 1999.
In 2006, Vietnamese National Assembly elected Mr. Dung to be
Prime Minister of Vietnam.
